Along with getting a new football stadium, the University of North Texas is also getting a new student union, complete with a new bookstore.
The project, so far, is still in the planning stage and a starting date, let alone an ending date, is yet to be set. Consultants hired by the university have been working with students, staff, and faculty, to create a new union fit for the 21st century.
The new union is expected to serve as many as 45-thousand students with anything from buying school spirit merchandise to purchasing important text books. UNT currently has an enrollment of 36-thousand students so it is clear that UNT is planning this new union for the future.
