Fort Hood Shootings

ntTV News was first on the scene for Gov. Rick Perry's official statement regarding the Fort Hood shootings.

NTTV wins Lonestar Emmy!

We are pleased to announce NTTV has won a Lonestar Emmy for our 2008 election night coverage, Eagle Election Night!

Last fall NTTV went live for three hours on election night to bring the University of North Texas, and the Denton area, localized election coverage. We broadcasted live anchor teams from the University Union as well as the RTVF studios, along with several reporters providing live shots from around Denton County. In addition to this we had several in studio guests to help bring the election into perspective.

NTTV recieved an unprecedented 5 out of 6 nominations for this year's Lonestar Emmys in the Student Production category. Every year NTTV has sent in entries to the Emmys, we have recieved nominations and taken home at least one award. Judging comes from out of state, and really gives NTTV pieces the chance for national exposure.

Semester Update

We're almost halfway through the semester, and we're going strong!

News has been live now for a month. Thanks to all the crew and talent volunteers who come out every week to help!

Noon News will go live today!!! After a lot of trial and error we finally have Studio C up and running. Tune in today at noon to check out the show!

And if anyone has noticed a lot of repeats every day on NTTV, that streak will finally end. We have a new control room computer installed, which means new programming! We have lots of new shows waiting to premiere, not to mention you can now catch a rerun of NTTV Nightly News every night at 9:30!

And one more thing, with the new computer we can now easily upload videos to our Vimeo account for on demand viewing! Click on the videos section of the page to redirect to our Vimeo page!

Dry Runs Next Week!!!

First of all, all the staff members of NTTV would like to thank everyone who has come out to volunteer! It's going to be a wonderful semester!

Next week, Sept. 14, will start the dry run week for NTTV Nightly News. We ask that everyone (reporters, crew, anchors, and web writers) show up on time for their shifts to make sure the week runs smoothly.

And I can't say it enough, It's going to be a great semester!!
